‘Gateway to Freedom Within’ Inc is a not-for-profit incorporated charity organisation that
aims to transform the lives of adults who have suffered a history of childhood sexual,
physical, mental, or spiritual abuse. Our mission is to guide those dealing with the ongoing
consequences of neglect and abuse to heal their emotional scars and improve their sense of
self-worth.
Gateway to Freedom Within Inc acknowledges a transformational process as necessary for dealing with the trauma, pervasive PTSD and negative self-beliefs the abuse survivor contends with on a daily basis. Our mission is to empower the survivors with knowledge and compassion, to improve their self-awareness, assist their recovery and broaden their understanding of the long-term effects of abuse.
We believe improving survivor’s emotional well-being will assist them to recognise their true value and break any generational destructive abuse cycles. We seek to inspire the survivor to recognise unhealthy behaviour traits that they have been conditioned to accept as normal, educate them on the basic human right of deserving safety and of being respected, and equip them to enter healthy relationships and to live more fulfilled lives.
By helping people deal with the aftermath of abuse, the association will support survivors and their family members, as abuse has a ripple effect that impacts all people connected to the victim. The mission is to provide support and education for those seeking a more harmonious relationship with themselves, and their past, creating emotional stability that benefits them and the next generation. ‘Gateway to Freedom Within’ endeavors to break the cycle of abuse that many survivors endure through no fault of their own.

Our Mission
To provide a retreat offering a variety of diverse programs. Participants will enter a safe space where teachers use various tools to address emotional, mental, and physical well-being. The goal is for participants to emerge stronger, more balanced, and to experience stable, long-lasting results. This integrative approach makes the retreat unique on the Sunshine Coast. We believe that the more holistic the healing, the more likely it is to be lasting.
As emotional and mental damage is reversed, unhealthy habits are replaced with healthier ones, often leading to significant improvements in physical health. This transformation is essential before entering new relationships, helping to break the cycle of past destructive experiences. The retreat helps individuals free themselves from triggers, paving the way for inner freedom. Furthermore, the benefits extend to society; when parents are well-balanced and conscientious, society as a whole reaps substantial rewards.
Our Vision
The primary goal of ‘Gateway to Freedom Within Inc’ is to secure land for a retreat, where we can continue helping people heal from trauma. Our vision for ‘Gateway to Freedom Within’ is for participants to join an eight-week retreat, working with professionals to transform their lives. The retreat will provide accommodation, meals, and ongoing support in a safe, nurturing environment where individuals can recover and rebuild their health. Teachers will guide participants using a variety of tools on emotional, mental, and physical levels, helping them emerge with a stronger, more balanced foundation and lasting results.
We are committed to respecting the dignity of each individual who enters the retreat. While there are program fees, we may offer financial assistance through individual agreements for those with fewer resources. Our management team is dedicated to representing a diverse community, including different genders, political views, and professional backgrounds. As our work requires substantial resources, we welcome input and support from the broader community. As the association grows, we aim to involve an even wider range of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
